$108,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually
Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is seeking applicants for a faculty position within the Department of Clinical and Administrative Sciences. This position will involve both didactic and experiential teaching responsibilities, in a practice setting to-be-determined that is best suited for the candidate (community, ambulatory, or acute care practice opportunities available).
Essential Functions:
Teaching and Instructional Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality didactic and experiential instruction in assigned professional pharmacy courses, aligned with ACPE standards and the School’s established curriculum model. Specific areas of instruction are likely to include pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacists’ skills laboratory, and fundamentals of the pharmacy profession.
Develop, update, and maintain course materials, assessments, and syllabi consistent with School and University academic policies. And accordingly, participate in curricular design and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Advise and mentor student pharmacists, promoting professionalism, ethical conduct, and academic success.
Qualifications:
Experience/Requirements: A PharmD degree or equivalent is required. Residency experience, practice experience, and academic experience are all valued, as are additional training or credentials in broader healthcare facets.
Skills/Aptitude: Excellent written & verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, problem solve, maintain confidentiality and work effectively as a team member. Must be skillful with general office equipment, Microsoft office and database management.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Attendance at School functions outside of normal business hours may be required.
Successful applicants must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Pharm.D. degree and at least five years of pharmacy practice. Experience in leadership and/or management is preferred. All candidates must have excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills. They should also demonstrate a commitment to teaching and scholarship, be highly motivated, be a team player and have a constructive approach to faculty and institutional affairs.
