Harding University invites applications for a 12-month Pharmaceutics faculty position within the College of Pharmacy. We seek a candidate who is both a technical expert and a motivated educator eager to integrate faith with high-level science. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering the PharmD curriculum and training students to serve their communities with clinical excellence and integrity. Position responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate and deliver didactic and laboratory courses designed to prepare students for the rigors of the PharmD program, specifically pharmaceutical calculations and compounding
Collaborate with other faculty in teaching and research while actively collaborating with scientists across academia and the pharmaceutical/biomedical industry
Train and mentor research students
Enhance the college’s reputation and scholarship metrics through grant submissions, securing funding, and producing peer-reviewed abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications

Requirements
Education:
Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Delivery, Pharmacology and Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field (industrial pharmacy background is a plus)
Professional Experience & Skills:
Prior experience as a faculty member within an ACPE-accredited program
A proven track record or strong interest in laboratory-based research, including student supervision and the stewardship of analytical instrumentation, or the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) within the pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmaceutical calculations is preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 3.5-year accelerated curriculum
Experience with active learning strategies, "flipped classroom," and integrated curricula where foundational science is applied to clinical cases
A commitment to the faculty role through active committee participation, student advising, research training and mentoring of students, and laboratory management
Active membership in organizations such as AAPS
Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and educational assessment software (e.g., ExamSoft)
A passion for student outcomes and dedicated NAPLEX preparation
