Job Summary: The Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Tyler invites candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Outcomes, with the Rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. This appointment is for a 9-month faculty position plus an additional 3-month summer supplement. We are seeking qualified candidates specializing in the broader area of Pharmaceutics, particularly in Pharmacokinetics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, student-centered Pharm.D. program. Our curriculum is taught in an active learning environment that values both personal and professional growth, as well as the development of each student. The start date for the position is flexible. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions include:
Design and teach courses in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, and electives as part of the Pharm.D. curriculum.
Develop and sustain a strong, extramurally funded, independent research program.
Engage in service activities for the college, university, and national committees.
Advise students in the Pharm.D. program and supervise personnel in their research.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days long. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by the time of hire.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline, with relevant postdoctoral experience
Proven track record of research and scholarship in a related field, with a current or high potential to develop an extramurally funded research program
Appointment in a higher rank would require transferable funding.
